Asa climbed the ladder last, and returned up to his house, safe at last. He sighed, kicked the trap-door shut and clambered up the stairs. He finally reached his room and collapsed on his bed. He lifted up his hand and stared at it. It was starting to turn blue and slightly translucent. Would he live? He hadn't a clue. Oh, magic where are you? He thought. Right here he heard in his head. Sitting bolt upright, he looked around, "M...magic? You're back?"
Just for now. You see, the death of Trolg let out an explosion of magic, so I can communicate with you for now, before it dies down. You need a body, fast. Soon, you'll unwind and return to the lake. I can restore it for you, at a price... His magic trailed off into the distance. "What sort of a price?" Asa asked suspiciously. Creating a body uses a lot of energy, more than I have right now. If I do, I will die, disappear into the mists of time. However, you will not be left without magic. There is a place that you can renew your source of magic, a lodestone. There aren't many remaining, although I am aware of one somewhere on Drano Island. Find it, and magic shall return to you. So, my life for your life?
"Okay," Replied Asa cautiously. It was a no-brainer really, but he felt somewhat hesitant. He lay back on his bed and relaxed, waiting for something to happen. Slowly, a ball of light conjured up above his blue, unraveling body. Suddenly, the light shot down into his stomach, driving itself deep into the pit of his disintegrating stomach. Asa groaned in pain as the glowing ball faded and his body became opaque once again. With a sigh of relief, he dropped asleep, bearing a faint smile on his pail, but solid, face.
